After Shane returned to making music, he came back with the motivation to produce a new song…entirely by himself. He wanted to create the beat, write the song, engineer the session, perform the vocals, mix & master the whole thing. SS states that the beat was inspired by Lupe Fiasco’s “The Cool,” popular 90’s boom bap raps, Dr. Dre and classic A$AP Rocky tracks. His flow/raps were stimulated by the aforementioned, Shane’s own lifestyle, as well as The Jacka & Young Jeezy. “Gold Chain” displays Shugga’s creative abilities as a producer and an artist, as it blends music, flow and lyrics together perfectly.
